Mugla's First Choir Festival is growing and making its voice heard. With increasing partners and participants, it is now international.
Mugla Choir Festival has come to life as a special organization that brings together choristers of different age groups, music lovers, and culture friends, going beyond a mere music event. This festival organized for the first time, from the districts of Mugla was attended by 24 choirs and 728 choristers. Performances on various themes have been a source of inspiration for both choristers and the audience. During the continuation of the festival, appreciation plaques were presented to the choirs at the ceremony, along with awards that matched their performances. The event aims to bring the local community together with Art and Music, as well as to promote Mugla's cultural richness at a national level. Mugla Choir Festival has the potential to become a larger and more international organization in the future, reflecting its unifying power. Despite being held for the first time, the festival received great acclaim from the public and concluded with the performance of Dr. Salih Aydogan's, who was the guest of honour at the ceremony, piece "Leave a World" sung by all the choristers.
Following the great interest in the first Choir Festival in Mugla, the second one was organized. In addition to the performances of the participating choirs during the three-day event, special pieces were performed in memory of Atatürk and on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. One of the most meaningful moments of the festival was the performance of the "Youth March" by all choirs together at the award ceremony. The words "Let the earth, sky and water hear our voices" echoed throughout the hall. The performances of the choirs had a significant meaning, not only in terms of cultural solidarity and unity, but also in reminding young people of the legacy of the Republic and Ataturk.
